Seems to be listed with her sister "Mantha" in Denver in 1910, working as a stenographer, before marrying later that year.
Listed in Custer Co, CO in 1920 with her husband and daughter, Irene M. (6). She graduated from Greeley Business College, and was a secretary at the CF&I Plant for several years.
They were living in Florence in 1930, with George farming (45, CO), and his family of Rose W. (42, KS) and children Irene (16, CO) and James (8).
In 1940 George is listed as a rancher (55, CO) with Rose W. (52, KS) and son James M. (18, CO) who is in high school. It says Rose had attended a year of college.
Mrs. George E. Griffin of Ilse route in 1942, when brother Howard died. She and her husband bought a ranch at Ilse, and after her husband’s death in 1948, she moved to Cañon City. She was a member of the First Christian Church, and the Florence Order of the Eastern Star.
She was survived by her son James M. Griffin of Cañon City, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Her daughter, Mrs. Irene Alberding of Pueblo, preceded her in death along with five brothers and a sister, making her the last of her siblings to die.
