John Warren Dorr 12/26/1928- 12/1/2008 John passed away peacefully, Monday, December 1. Born and raised in San Jose, John was a beloved husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Peggy, daughter Layne, son Jim, daughter in-law Leticia, grandchildren, Marissa and Christopher. John was preceded in death by his son John Jeffrey. Since his retirement from PG&E, after 47 years, he and Peggy followed their passion for baseball. John loved all sports, but he was a Giant season ticket holder and as a true fan, continued his loyalty even when the team had its ups and downs. John and Peggy spent some summers visiting major league ballparks. He also worked many years in Youth Sports, coaching San Jose PAL baseball. The family will hold private graveside services and in January a Celebration of John's life will be held for friends. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hope for Retarded. Arrangements by Lima Family Santa Clara.
