Joseph Caswell m. Louise Humphage, niece of Emily (his brother Samuel’s wife). She died after 1941. He pioneered in Saskatchewan with his brother Robert W. in 1883, going in to what was then called Clark's Crossing by horse team from Moose Jaw. This place is now called Clarkboro and the present Clarks Crossing is 7 or 8 miles away. Their homesteads were about l.5 mi. north of the Crossing on west side of Sask. R. For a number of years Joseph was a partner of his brother John J. Afterwards moved to farm 4 mi. SW of Saskatoon and lived there until his death.
