He married Judith Champion (dau of Henry Champion and Sarah Peck) on 26 May 1774. He was a clothier and farmer. They settled at Lyme, then removed to a farm in Chatham, NY where they lived to an advanced age, when they sought the care and aid of their children. She was born in 1756 and died in Canaan, Columbia Co, NY on 14 Oct 1852.
