Clemm family is listed in Wayne Co, IL in 1860 as a farmer with sons John T. (8), Isaac N. (6), Wilson (4), and James (1).
In the 1870 census he is listed as Clem Jackson, rather than Jackson Clem in Clay City, IL with sons John T., Isaac N., Wilson, James, Mary J. (9), and William H. (6).
It is said that they had a son (apparently William) who died in 1877 at the age of 14 years.
