Charles Henry Colopy, 69, of Canal Fulton, died Tuesday at 3:20 .p. m. in the Massillon city hospital. His death followed a long illness. A native of Howard, 0., in Knox county, Mr. Colopy had lived in the Canal Fulton area 34 years. He had been employed at the Griscom-Russell Co. and was a member of Sts. Philip and James Catholic church of Canal Fulton and the Holy Name society of the church. Mr. Colopy is survived by his widow, Mrs. May C. Colopy; seven daughters, Mrs. Marie Staver of North Lawrence, Mrs. Lucille Schalmo of RD 3, Massillon, Mrs. Mary Gravereau of Bedford, Mrs. Theresa Burger of Canal Fulton, Mrs. Ruth Crable of Navarre, Mrs. Betty Lutz of Minerva and Mrs. Joan Heffernan of Akron; three sons, Lewis Colopy of North Canton, John Colopy of Columbus and James Colopy at home; three brothers, Paul Colopy of Canal Fulton, Donald Colopy of Howard and Robert Colopy of Akron and 24 grandchildren. The funeral will be held Friday at 9 a.m. in Sts. Philip and James church. The Rev. John L. Maurer, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be made in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Swigart funeral home in Canal Fulton Wednesday from 7 to 9.
