They birthed all 12 children at Glencotha and lived there until 1849 when Alexander Tweedie and wife Mary took 11 living children and immigrated to New York, America.

Christina b. 1826 m Robert Ballentine in USA;
Nicholas (female) b. 1828 m John Middlemist;
James b. abt 1829 (he's the only one who left Delaware Co., in 1856 he went to dig for gold in Calif by way of the Isthmus of Panama, then was a sheepherder in Nevada and died and buried in Virginia City, NV);
William b. 1830 m in Bovina, NY to Mary Dewar Munnon (known in America as Munn);
Mary b. 1835 m Daniel Shepard in NY;
Eliza b. 1836 m William Hodge;
Alex Jr b. 1840 m Margaret Smith in Albany his will is on record at Walton NY;
Margaret who died shortly after 1849 immigration;
Euphemia b 1847 m Edwin Kilpatrick d. 1939.
In 1849 when they immigrated, Alex, Mary and the kids first came to Hamden, Delaware Co, NY for a short time then settled in Walton, Delaware Co, New York- thier children going eventually to Bovina, or Walton (Dunk's Hill), or Dehli mostly; some to New Kingston.
Alexander (Sr.) died in Walton at his daughter Christina's home Nov 8, 1882 (age 85).

She was the daughter of James Bruce and known in America as a direct descendant of Robert the Bruce.
Mary Bruce died in the home of son Alex Jr in West Brook, Walton, NY June 11, 1881 at 78.
