Born in Meredith or Walton, and listed as David E. in 1860 census.
A short time after their marriage they bought his father's farm in Frear Hollow. In 1894 Mr. and Mrs. Edwin D. Kilpatrick built a very large up-to-date barn on this farm. In 1905 they sold the farm to their son Joseph and moved to Walton and purchased a house on Griswold Street, where they spent the rest of their lives. The fourth generation of Kilpatricks were living on the farm in the mid-1900’s.
Mrs. Euphemia Kilpatrick joined the United Presbyterian Church of Walton by certificate from the West Delhi United Presbyterian Church, May 19, 1867, and Edwin D. Kilpatrick joined the church by profession November 7, 1868. He was elected to the eldership of this church October 15, 1874, and served until his death, a period of 42 years. They were both very loyal and faithful members of this church.
Listed near his father in 1880 census as a farmer (32, NY) with his wife Euphema (33 Scotland), dau Mary Euphemia (5, NY), son Joseph (4, NY) and Edwin’s younger brother Milton M. (14, NY).
Died of pneumonia.
