Married on 8 Sep 1929 to Doris Elizabeth Chambers at the M. E. Parsonage in Canton, NY. His sister Lena Wells was in the wedding.
In 1930 he is newly married and listed as a farmer (23, NY) near his parents. His wife is Doris (18, NY) and his son Cecil is a newborn.
The Wells moved to Detroit where they worked in defense plants in WWII. They returned to Rensselaer Falls, NY and operated a dairy farm on the South Road for many years.

Funeral rites held for Rensselaer Falls man
Rensselaer Falls—Everett M. Wells, 55, died Sunday morning, Nov. 26 on his farm home on the South road. He had been in failing health for two years. A prayer service was held Tuesday at the home with services following in the Methodist church. Rev. Lawrence Heatherlngton, Methodist minister of Harrisville and a former pastor here, and Rev. Roy Flint, pastor of the United church, Rensselaer Falls, officiated. Interment was in the White Church cemetery, Lisbon (aka Lisbon Cem).
Surviving Mr. Wells are his wife, Doris; two sons, Cecil, Rensselaer Falls and Everett E. of Ogdensburg; a daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Betty) Martin, Canton, R.D. 2; a sister, Mrs. Lena Tower, Johnson City; three brothers, Elden and Donald, both of DeKalb Junction, R.D. 1 and Maynard, Homer and eight grandchildren.
He was born in the town of Pierrepont Feb. 1, 1906, a son of Harry and Birdie Crary Wells. He attended Canton schools. On Sept. 7, 1929 he married Miss Doris Chambers of Rensselaer Falls, the ceremony being performed in the Methodist parsonage in Canton by Rev. Wendell Carter. Following their marriage the couple farmed at Rensselaer Falls until 1941 when they moved to Detroit where Mr. Wells was employed as a government inspector of war material until 1945 when the couple returned to Rensselaer Falls. They bought their present farm home at that time.
Mr. Wells was a member of the Canton Methodist church and of Rensselaer Falls Grange No. 1038.
Honorary bearers were Charles Pike, Alwyn Pike, Webster Kaine, Clifford McCready, Raymond Hammond and George Gutterson. The Fox funeral home of Heuvelton was in charge of arrangements.
