Listed as a farmer (28, IA) with his wife and mother in 1900 census for Fairview, OK. They had been married less than a year and had no children yet.
The Fairview church was the first Church of God Seventh Day established in Oklahoma and in September 1905 they organized the Oklahoma Conference of the Church of God Seventh Day with C. C. Wells as President.
In 1910 they are listed with daughter Verna, and Charles was a teacher in the public school. It shows that they also lost another child since their marriage.
In 1920 they have their daughter and her future husband living with them (as a boarder). She is listed as Vernie, and he as Vern.

Charles C. Wells, 75, died yesterday at his home, 3004 Ludlum Rd. He was formerly of Washington. Surviving are his daughter Mrs. M. Vernon Cramer of Miami. The body will be sent to Fairview, Okla., after services at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Van Orsdel mortuary.
Cemetery record lists him as C. C. Wells and shows his birth in 1872.
