MADIE HUFFORD, 68, passed away Wednesday, March 4, 1998. She was born and raised in El Paso. Mrs. Hufford was a retired educational school secretary with the Ysleta Independent School District with 20 years of service. She had been an active member in her church.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, LeRoy Hufford; sons and daughters-in-law, Harvey and Bonnie Hufford of Pagosa Springs, Colorado; Harold and Linda Hufford of Phoenix, Arizona; seven grandchildren, Lonnv, Missy, Cory, Jason, Wesley, Ronnie and Bonnie Geanne; five great-grandchildren, Sahara, Colten, Devin, Brigett, Kaycee. Visitation will be 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Kaster-Maxon Futrell Northeast Chapel, 8817 Dyer.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with interment in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.

LeRoy first married Alice Madie Earl EVANS; with Alice, he had two sons. LeRoy's wife Alice died in 1998.
In 2000, LeRoy married Anita K. LOWE (married and divorced from Roy J. TEXTOR, Jr.); Anita survived LeRoy. LeRoy was active in the Ysleta Lions Organization. He retired from Southwestern Bell after 42 years of service.

LeRoy Hufford, 82 longtime resident of El Paso passed away on Monday, January 30.
He was active for many years in the Ysleta Lions Organization and served as District Governor from 1983-84. He retired after 42 years with Southwestern Bell.
LeRoy was born in Trinidad, Colorado on 6-17-29 to Clara Lee Murry Asdel and Harvey Smith Hufford who preceded him in death, along with his first wife Madie Earl Evans Hufford. LeRoy also had 2 sisters, 2 brothers, 2 step brothers and a great granddaughter Sahara Hufford who preceded him in death.
LeRoy is survived by his wife, Anita Lowe Textor Hufford, sons Harvey Hufford and Harold Hufford, stepdaughters Debbie Heggem (Scott) and Linda Maker. He has 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
