Captain Hufford entered the US Army on July 24, 1942. He became a 2nd Lieutenant on May 1, 1951 (Korean War). He became a Captain on March 18, 1954, and served until discharged on 31 July 1962.

Funeral services for Clifford H. Hufford, 54, a resident of Greer Arizona and a former resident of El Paso, who passed away Friday, will to held at 1:00 PM Wednesday in the Hardinq-Orr McDaniel Montana Avenue Chapel, Dr Alfred G Belles officiatng. Interment will be In Fort Bliss National Cemetery with military honors. Arrangements by Harding-Orr McDaniel 320 Montana Avenue.

Norma L. Spear, of Yelm, passed away on September 26, 2005. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard "Tommy" Spear. Prior to her retirement, Norma was employed as an administrative assistant for the Thurston County Fire Protection District #17. Her volunteer and social activities included Live For Today, Women of the Moose, V.F.W. Auxiliary, Treble Clefts Organ Club of Yelm, and the Methodist and Lutheran Churches of Yelm. Norma was a founding member of the incorporation of Lakewood, California. She is survived by her daughters, Catherine, Tommie Lou, and Susan; eleven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 3, 2005, at 11:00 a.m., at Fir Lane Memorial Chapel in Spanaway, and visitation will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2005, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at Fir Lane Funeral Home. Interment will be at Fir Lane Memorial Park.

Dorothy was the daughter of Walker S. LEE (1885-1961) and Margaret H. ZIMMER (1886-1959), both of Rochester, Monroe Co, NY. She enlisted on August 17, 1943 and was a T SGT in the US Marine Corps during World War II.
Sometime before August 25, 1947, she married Clifford Hufford. She had a son (David Lee Hufford) who was born in about January 1948, in Hawaii.
