An article in the Shelbyville Democrat on February 5, 1925 states that her divorce petition had been dismissed by her request.
In 1930 she is listed with her daughter’s family on Pershing Ave in Indianapolis as a 72 year old mother-in-law, widowed and first married at age 25. Their family consisted of William Baldwin (52 KS) first married at age 23 and a carpenter, his wife Fairy (39 IN) first married at age 22, a step daughter Pearl Smith (15 IN), and Mary as noted above.

He had moved to Indianapolis by 1920, where he is listed as a carpenter (59) with his wife Mary (62), dau Mary (Fairy) Smith (29 IN), granddau Pearl Smith (5 IN), nephew Ray (12 IN) listed as his son, and niece Dorothy (16 IN).
