Mrs. Mary Blanchard
Daughter of Peter and Louisa Drouhard was born January 20, 1842 near Calmoutier and after an extended illness died at her home at Glenmont, August 17, 1923 at the age of 81 years, 6 months and 19 days.
She was united in marriage to Eugene Blanchard on May 31, 1863. To this union were born 13 children, 7 sons and 6 daughters. One son and two daughters preceded her in death and also her husband six years ago.
She leaves to mourn her departure ten children: Mrs. Louisa Hoops, Mrs. Al Genet, Mrs Harve Guenther, Paul and Louis Blanchard of Glenmont. Mrs. Wilford Kaylor of Nashville, Joseph Blanchard of Danville, Kansas, Herman Blanchard of Red River, New Mexico, August and J.P. Blanchard of Millersburg, three brothers Peter Drouhard of Wooster, Joe Drouhard of Marshville and August Drouhard of Danville, Kansas, also twenty-nine grandchildren and a host of friends.
Funeral services were held on Monday morning at 9 o'clock at the St. Peter's and Paul"s Catholic Church. Burial at Glenmont Cemetery.
The family wishes to thank the friends and neighbors for their kindness during the sickness and death of their beloved mother, and for the beautiful floral offerings and also for the cosoling words of Rev. Father Schiele.
