Paul T. Wells, 84, Speedway, passed away Tuesday, May 11, 1999 at his residence in Speedway, Indiana.
He was an attorney in private practice and previously had been in civil service for a combined total of 36 years. He served 5 years in the army in active duty rising to the rank of Lt. Col., and served additional years with the Veterans Administration in reserve duty and civil service.
He was a member of Ben Davis Christian Church, the Indiana Bar Association, a 50 year member of the American Legion Post #500, a 50 year member of the Scottish Rite, a 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge #729 (serving as a 'Chapter Dad' for Speedway Demolay), 50 year member of the Murat Shrine. He graduated with a law degree from the University of Indiana.
Survivors: Wife Frances I. Lynch Wells; daughter and her husband Martha and Mark Rhodes of Indianapolis, son and his wife Walter T. and Barbara Wells of Cincinnati; 2 grandchildren Stephanie and Mallory Rhodes.
Entombment: Washington Park North Cemetery.
