Rebecca K. "Becky" Hobson, age 74, of Dalton, formerly of Orrville, died Friday, June 14, 2019, at Aultman Hospital in Canton, following a sudden illness.
Becky was born on February 10, 1945, in Frankfort, Indiana, to the late Paul and Evelyn (Howe) Wells. She married Bernard "Eugene" Hobson on February 11, 1963, in Frankfort, IN. Eugene died on August 28, 2013.
She worked as a cook for Orrville High School and then for Smithville-Western Care Center for a total of 20 years.
Becky most recently attended West Hill Baptist Church in Wooster. She enjoyed arts and crafts and will be remembered for her kind spirit and always having a beautiful smile on her face. Most of all, she loved spending time with family and friends.
Surviving are twin sons, James W. (Renee) Hobson of Fredericktown and Paul “Lee” Hobson of Medina; former daughter-in-law, Taresa (Robert) Peters of Rittman; five (5) grandchildren, Tyler, Nathan, Anna, Nick and Dylan Hobson; Glenn Bachman - who was her faithful companion with whom she shared a home; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a beloved son, Nathan Eugene Hobson; brother, Larry Joseph Wells, and daughter-in-law, Kayla Hobson.
Services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, June 21, 2019, at Auble Funeral Home, 512 East Oak Street, Orrville, OH. Burial will take place at Crown Hill Cemetery in Orrville.

EUGENE HOBSON
ORRVILLE -- Eugene Hobson, 74, of Orrville, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at his home after a long period of declining health.
Eugene was born on March 23, 1939, in Mingo Junction to Walter and Lydia (Hogue) Hobson and married Rebecca K. "Becky" Wells on Feb. 11, 1963, in Frankfort, Ind. Becky survives.
He graduated from Augusta High School, class of 1957, and attended Bible College in Canton for three years and then worked as a warehouse man for the J.M. Smucker Company in Orrville for 39 years.
Eugene was a member of Wooster Apostolic Pentecostal Church. He enjoyed working and going on vacations, especially to Myrtle Beach. His greatest love was for his family and his wife and partner of more than 50 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife are sons, James (Renee) Hobson of Fredericktown, and Paul L. Hobson of Wooster; grandchildren, Tyler, Nathan, Anna, Nicholas, and Dylan Hobson; a former daughter-in-law, Taresa (Robert) Peters of Marshallville; brothers, James Kenneth (Lois) Hobson of Atlanta, Ind., and Steven Robert (Patty) Hobson of Scio; sisters, Margaret Elaine Soptelean of Scio, Martha Jane (Chuck) Gowen of Alliance, and Delores Jean Cosma of Minerva; numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful dog, Sadie Mae.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Nathan Eugene Hobson in 1984; brothers, Alfred Levern Hobson, Walter Conner Hobson, Arthur Blair Hobson, Larry Thomas Hobson and Joseph Daniel Hobson.
Services will be Friday, Aug. 30 at 2 p.m. at Auble Funeral Home in Orrville, with the Rev. Gerald Compton officiating. Burial will be in Crown Hill Cemetery, Orrville.
