Misc. Notes
Myron "Vernon" Cramer, born in New York, was wandering around the country as a young man around 1920-22, taking on odd-jobs. His family had moved to Calcasieu Parish, Louisianna where he registered for the WWI draft in 1917.
During his travels, he found himself in Oklahoma at the farm of Charles Cevy Wells. One day, soon after he started working for Mr. Wells, he saw a lovely young woman. He was talking to another farmhand and asked about this young lady. He was informed that this was "Vernie", the boss's daughter. Vernon replied, "I'm going to marry that girl!" And he did!!!
After their marriage they lived in Maryland and the DC area, where their 3 children were born and raised, until the mid-1930s. They then moved to Florida where they lived the rest of their lives.
Vernie and Vernon were married 70 years when he passed away in 1992.
