Christina F. Wells, 86, of Central Avenue died at 3 a.m. Saturday, July 25, 1998, at Community Care Center.
She worked at Jefferson Elementary School as a secretary, retiring in 1976. She was a member of First Baptist Church and the Hannah Circle of the church, Kappa Kappa Sigma Theta Chapter and CREAK Club.
Funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Myers Funeral Service, Reed and Jewell Chapel on 25th street, with the Rev. Jon R. Carlstrom officiating. Visitation will be from noon until service time Monday. Entombment will be at Garland Brook Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Wells was born in Bedford March 26, 1912, the daughter of John and Lula Turpin Maddox. She married Arthur K. Wells May 13, 1934, in Bedford. He died Dec. 28, 1997.
She is survived by sons, Larry D. Wells of Columbus and Kenneth L. Wells of San Antonio; a brother, Robert Maddox of Louisville, Ky.; a sister, Rose Rhoades of Dallas; grandchildren, Kaylen Cirillo, Mary Beth Bryant, Clint and Tim Wells, Rebecca Marsh, Dorothy Eure and Eugene and John Boyd; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Hattie Stevenson, Helen Faris, Hazel Farwell, Betty Hill and Mary Knaur; and a brother, John Maddox.

Funeral for Arthur K. Wells, 87, of Central Avenue, formerly of Maple Street, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Myers Funeral Service, Reed and Jewell Chapel on 25th Street, with the Rev. Jon Carlstrom officiating. Calling will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today. Entombment will be at Garland Brook Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to the Hemophilia Foundation.
Mr. Wells died at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 28, 1997, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
He had been a plant superintendent for Reliance Shirt Factory and retired as a night foreman for Cummins Engine Co.
He was a member of Fraternal Order of Police, Columbus Elks Lodge and Cummins Retired Employees and Kin Club.
Mr. Wells was born in Columbus July 2, 1910, the son of Frank R. and Pearl A. McClosky Wells. He married Christina F. Maddox May 13, 1934, at Bedford. She survives.
Also surviving are sons, Larry D. Wells of Columbus and Kenneth L. Wells of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Kaylen Cirillo of Mount Laurel, N.J., Mary Beth Bryant of Asheville, N.C., Rebecca marsh of Colorado Springs, Colo., Dorothy Eure and John Boyd, both of San Antonio; Clint and Tim Wells, both of Columbus, and Eugene Boyd of Kennard, Texas; sisters, Frances Gould of Cincinnati, Mary Querry of Fort Myers, Fla., and Sarah Currey of Naples, Fla.; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister; Dolly Schumaker.
