He was married at age 16, then enlisted in the Army at age 17 and was in their Ski Patrol. He lived in Idaho and Nevada for many years; specifically Reno, Las Vegas, Carson City, Battle Mountain and Henderson, Nevada. Managed a few Beverly Manor homes.
He was in the Air Force 13 Nov 1951 - 31 Aug 1959.
When he married Nelda Jane in 1965, she had already been married and had 3 children with Ivan Eddie Phillips, who died in a car accident. Billy apparently adopted her children.
For the 1973 marriage to Diane Hanson, both of them were listed as residents of Nebraska. His later marriages in 1980/1981 listed him as a Nevada resident, with Nancy Stater being a resident of California.
He apparently moved to Florida, as did his daughters, where he retired. Although he spent a fair amount of time living in Nicaragua in order to make his funds go further. He died of an abdominal aneurism.
Social Security records list his death in Titusville, Brevard Co, Florida, which is apparently where his death certificate was filed.

WILLIAM WALTS, Jr.
Long time Florida resident Bill Walts passed away last year, December 2, 2006, while living in Nicaragua.
Bill was a member of the Moose Lodge in Titusville and past president of the Cocoa Beach Lions Club.
Bill is survived by his son Edward Walts; daughter Lezlie Walts; daughter Lisa Parks, her husband Rick and his two granddaughters Anna and Jessica.
Friends and family will be celebrating Bill's life with a party this Saturday, December 1st, at the Cold Spot, 4111 S. Hopkins Avenue in Titusville.
