1860 census lists them in Brownsville as Jacob (29, Bavaria) a boiler maker, Caroline (27, Hanover) plus children Barbara (7), Henrietta (5), William (3), and Dora (5mos) all born in PA.
The census for Brownsville in 1870 lists his family as Jacob, a boiler maker (40, Bavaria), Caroline (37, Prussia), Barbara (16), Ettie (15), William (12), Dora (10), Louis (8), August (6), and Albert (7mos) born in Sept.
Listed as a boiler maker (50, Bavaria) in 1880 with wife Caroline (47, GER) and children Henrietta (25), August (15), Albert (10), and George (6) all born in Penn.
The 1900 census lists him as a farmer (70, GER) married 48 yrs, with his wife Caroline (67, GER) and daughter Barbara (Sep 1853, PA). It says they immigrated in 1852 and that he is naturalized; and that 7 of their 9 children are living.
In 1910, they are still listed as the same family in Brownsville, with him retired; but it says they immigrated in 1858.
