Was Captain of Third Battalion Middlesex County Militia at Battle of Monmouth - June 28, 1778.
Capt. Peter Perrine served in the Revolutionary War and was buried at the Old Tennent Church (yard).
His first wife was Sarah Scanlan (of Darby by Jane Mulison) who died 28 Jul 1799.
His second wife was Hanna Disbrow Dey (widow of David Dey).
All of his children are listed in Reference 4 and include:
1. Margaret (1761-1847) m. William Dey (of Hightstown) (1757-1824)
2.-9. Andrew; Catharine; Mary; Lewis; Elizabeth; Enoch; Sarah;Peter
10. Jane (Nancy?) (1767-1813) m. William W. Dey (of Manalaplan, NJ) (1771-1855)
11. Lydia (1778-1855) m. Capt. Daniel L. Dey (1779-1832) [he's mentioned in Peter's will]
12. Rebecca Perrine (1772-1817 OR 1847) m. Capt. John Dey (of Hightstown) (1753-1815)
There may be a discrepancy in Rebecca's information--See her grandson's (Peter P. Dey) memorial
Note: People are encouraged to be careful as there are so many Perrines who married Deys that it is difficult to unravel without a set of good references.
