Sarah married Joab Bush (1835-1904) around 1859 in Indiana.
They are listed in Bartholomew Co in 1860, with him as a day laborer (25, IN), Sarah (20, KY) and son John W. (5mos, IN).
Moved to Jennings Co, IN by 1870, where Joab is listed as a farmer (35, IN) with Sarah J. (31, KY), Joab C. (8), George P. (6), Elva L. (4) and Mary A. (1).
In 1880 she is listed as Sarah Jane (40, KY) and in addition to the 4 older children they have twin sons James E. (3) and Louis E. (3) plus a 4 month old daughter born in May but unnamed.
By 1885 the family had moved to Kansas, where Joab is listed as a stone mason, (51, IN), Sarah (44, KY) and children George (20), Elvie (17), Mary (16), James (8), Eddie (8), and Sarah (4) all born in Indiana.
In 1895 Joab and Sarah have only Edward (18), James I (18), and Sarah J. (15) living at home.
The 1900 census still shows them Montgomery Co, KS with Joab still listed as a farmer (Mar 1835, IN), Sarah (Jun 1840, KY) with children James E. (Jan 1877, IN) and Sarah J. (May 1880, IN) plus grandson William J. Logan (Nov 1889, IL) where they are listed as being married 41 yrs with 7 of their 8 children living.
