Misc. Notes
Twin sister of Marie Edna.
Edna Marie and her twin sister Marie Edna were in fact dancing girls in a troupe that, among other places, toured the southwest and - according to their sister Zella, who was in charge of wardrobe - once performed before Pancho Villa and his band. Presumably to favorable reviews.
She was already married and noted as sick by her husband in his Jun 1918 WWI Draft registration; and "Aunt Edna was more sickly if I remember and I always had the impression that she was very fragile."
In 1920, she (22, IL) and Raymond are listed in Alameda, with a 5 month old daughter, Thelma.
Listed in 1930 as age 32, b. IL, with son Douglas (9, CA) and 6 month old daughter, Carrol. It is strange that their son Raymond, born 15 Jul 1926 in San Francisco, is not listed with them.
Listed in 1940 at age 42, born in Cairo, IL, with her husband and children Douglas (19), Nadine (17), and Raymond (13); living next door to her sister Marie’s Fleddermann family. It says she was first married at age 20 and had born 6 children, and had finished a 2nd year of high school.
The Calif Death Index lists her birth as 11 Oct 1897, although the SSDI says 27 Oct 1897 for some reason; both with the same date of death.
