The ship originated in Drasenberg and departed from Bremen.
He appears in the 1850 census for Baltimore Co, MD as a tailor (29, GER) with wife Margarett (28, GER) and children Henry (9), John (7), Fred (5), and Melchor (1) also born in Germany.
His last name appears to be written as Rohton in 1860, but it is his family with all the right names. He is listed as a laborer (39, Hesan, GER) with wife Margaret (38, Hesan, GER) and children Henry (18, MD), John (15, MD), Frederick (13, MD), Michael (10, MD), William (8, MD), George (5, MD), and Catherine (2, MD).
His 1864 Naturalization record in Westminster states "Henry Richter a native of Hepe Cassell (Capell), Germany first appeared before the Circuit Court in Westminster Maryland on September 11, 1861 and declared under oath that it was his intention to become a citizen of the United States."
