Listed with her parents as Lucella (6, IL) in the 1880 Colorado census. Her father is C. E. (30, CT) a barber and mother Mary A. (26, IL), along with with sister Maggie (10, IL), brother Edward F. (3, IA) and Ida May (1, CO). Listed as Dosella on her marriage record.
Listed twice with her husband and children in 1900 - first with her sister’s family in Fall Creek as born Mar 1862 (age 28, so it should be 1872) , married 11 yrs; and second with her father-in-law in Goldfield as born in May 1873 married 13 yrs. In both cases 4 of their 5 children were living.
In 1910 she is listed as dressmaker (37, IL), working at home with 3 children living, and married 22 yrs.
In 1920 she and her children are all living with the family of daughter Mary and husband John Aldred. Docella (47, IL) is a widow and daughter Lillian is listed with the surname Liuis (Lewis?). That same census, she is also listed in Boulder, CO, as Drucella E. Wells (46, IL) widowed and rooming with the family of Charles Boche, along with her grandson Dudley P. Rommel (9, CO).

In 1900 he is listed in Colorado as a gold miner (34, IL) with his wife Docilla E. (27, IL), his father Benjamin F. Wells, and his family; consisting of Mary H. (9), Lillian P. (8), Albert E. (5) and Garald (3) - all born in Colorado. They had been married 13 yrs, and 4 of their 5 children were still living.
In the same census, he is also listed with the family of his wife's brother-in-law, Charles Hocking (39, ENG). In this record he is listed as having been married 11 yrs, again with his wife and children and slightly different spellings of their names; but his father is not living with them.
