In 1940 he was living with his widowed aunt, Anna Wells, following the death of her husband Harry, outside Chicago. He was working as a public school Teacher (23, IN) and had moved there from Shelbyville where he lived in 1935.
He was married to Florence, with 2 yrs of High School and working in the printing business when he enlisted at Camp Grant in Illinois on 14 Feb 1942. He was later divorced and they had no children.
He lived in Chicago, IL and by 1980 was in Las Vegas, Nevada with a gentleman by the name of Edmund Boutte (not sure of the spelling).
