WELLS
Brownsburg - Donald L. Wells, 67, died Aug. 5, 1998 in Brownsburg. Wells was born Oct. 28, 1930, to Forest and Alice (Tinsley) Wells. He was married to Jewel G. (Inscoe) Wells. She survives.
Wells was a director of casualty and claims at Indiana Insurance for 25 years, retiring in 1993. Formerly he was a Lt. Colonel with Marion County Sheriff Mounted Horse Patrol. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Susan Wells Gordon of Brownsburg; three step-daughters, Susan Alexander of Whitestown, IN, Debra Harris of Indianapolis and Julie William of Ashville, AL, two step-sons, Rick Harris of Indianapolis and Bill Harris of Beech Grove; one sister, Betty L. Garard of Mooresville; two grandchildren; and 14 step-grandchildren.
Services were Aug. 7 at Conkle Funeral Home, Hendricks County Chapel, Avon with Rev. Rick Adkins officiating. Burial was at Crown Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Building Fund.
