Listed with her parents as Alberta at age 9 in 1910, but married in 1919, and living with husband Carl Hill in 1920, listed as Odlin Hill (20, IN).
Carl was listed as widowed (divorced actually), and living with his parents in 1930, by which time she was remarried to Edward W. Kaler. They were living in Columbus, IN with 4 sons. Edward was a cigar salesman (29, IN) first married at age 20, with Odlin A. (29, IN) and sons Edward W. (7), Forest D. (5), Charles H. (4 yr, 7 mo), and Douglas E. (3 yr, 2 mo).
In 1940 Edward is listed as mgr of a tobacco and candy store (39, IN), with wife Oldin R. (39, IN) and sons Edward W. Jr (17), Dale (15), Charles (14) and Douglas (13).
She is listed in the Columbus city directories as late as 1947.

ILLNESS FATAL TO MRS. KALER
Wife of Local Businessman Dies at Hospital Funeral Wednesday.
Mrs. A. Odlin Kaler, 49, Ogilville road, died at 8:15 o'clock Monday morning at the Bartholomew county hospital. She had been ill for 10 years, and bedfast two weeks. She was a very active member of the Bethel Baptist church. She was a member of Pocahontas lodge and Business and Professional Women's club. She had also been active in business with her husband, Edward Kaler, in the Kaler Candy and Tobacco company here. Mrs. Kaler was born in Indianapolis to William and Rachel Wells. She lived her early life there, and had been in Columbus since 1929. Surviving with her husband are four sons, Edward Kaler Jr., Forest Dale Kaler, Charles Herbert Kaler and Douglas Earl Kaler; three grandchildren, Douglas Kaler Jr, William Edward Kaler, and Edward William Kaler; a brother, Forest Wells of Indianapolis, and a sister, Mrs. Dorothy Porter, Indianapolis.
