[Obituary] Ogdensburg Advance - Thursday, 28 November 1918
Waddington, Nov 25 - It is with sadness we record the death of Julia Curran Wells, wife of Charles Wells, aged 25 years, which occurred at 2 o'clock Tuesday morning after a two days' illness. All that loving hands could do was done but to no avail and she was called up higher where she was prepared to go, as she said a few hours before her death she was ready. Such a beautiful young life was hers, always smiling and a happy word for everyone she met. She leaves a heart broken husband, a darling little daughter Emma, aged two and one-half years, her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Curran, and several brothers and sisters, and Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Wells who have been parents to her. The sympathy of the community is extended to these saddened ones. The funeral was held Friday at 2 o'clock, Rev. C. M. Huyck officiating.
