Mrs Mary Wells
EVANSVILLE Ind — Mrs Mary Wells 70 of Carmi 111 died at 4:40 pm Monday at St Mary’s Hospital in Evansville after a brief illness. The Butler County native was a nurses aide at the Carmel Township Hospital and was the daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Thomas Neighbors. Graveside service will be at 2 pm Thursday at Cook Cemetery in Butler County. Smith Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. Survivors include three sons Steven Wells of Mt Vernon, IN; Keith Wells of Marion, IN; and Len Wells of Grayville, IN.

Homer E. Wells, 79, of Gillispie, formerly of Carmi died Friday, Nov. 7, 1997 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.
He was a retired oil rig driler. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of the VFW and American Legion.
Born May 4, 1918 in Maunie, he was the son of Robert and Anna Large Wells.
Surviving are his wife, Bessie E. Wells of Mt. Vernon, Ind.; three sons and daughters in law, Steven E. and Ann Wells of New Harmony, Ind.; Richard Keith and Sharon Wells of Wentzville, Mo.; and Ronald Len and Nancy Wells of Fairfield; a step daughter, Loretta Harrelson of Benld; seven grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; one great grandson; and nine step great grandchildren.
Burial will be in Marshall Ferry Cemetery near Carmi.
