Agnes N. Lubeck, wife of the late Hjalmar Lubeck; mother of Raymond Lubeck of Campbell, and Mrs. Alice Wehe of Burlingame; sister of Albert Nicholson of Santa Rosa; Mrs. Esther McCune and Mrs. Amy Reed, both of San Francisco; grandmother of Mark Lubeck; Robert Lubeck, David Lubeck, Sharon Lubeck, John Samuels, Cathy Samuels, Raymond Lubeck, Joylene Lubeck, Michael Lubeck, Richard Wehe, Diane Wehe and Mrs. Holly Hampton; a native ot Kansas City. Mo., aged 76 years. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, April 1, at 2 p.m.

Swedish Emmigration records list Gustaf Hj Lybeck (b. 1878) from Dörby Kalmar Län, Sverige, as having departed Malmö for New York on 8 Oct 1902; with his occupation listed as Handelsbiträde (tradesman).
He declared his intention to become a US citizen in New York on 13 Jul 1904. It stated that he had immigrated on 22 Oct 1902, having arried at New York, NY. He was naturalized in 1925 in California.
In 1910 he was Gustave Y. Laibeck in Oakland, working as an electrician (33, SWE) in an Iron Works, single and a lodger with Emma Sandhold, having immigrated in 1903.
He married Agnes Nicholson before Sept 1918, when he registered for the WWI draft in San Francisco.
Listed as Hjalmar (42, SWE) in the 1920 census as a foreman in the N. J. Works. He immigrated in 1901 and was not naturalized. With him was his wife Agnes (29, MO), daughter Alice (2, CA) and son Raymond (2 mo, CA).

Electrical Engineer, Known Here, Is Dead
Gustav Hjalmar Lubeck, an electrical engineer employed by the Union Iron Works, who was well known in fraternal circles, died yesterday. He is survived by his wife, Agnes; a daughter, Alice; a son, Raymond, and a brother, John R. Lubeck. He was born in Sweden 4S years ago. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from 2219 Mission street under the auspices of Excelsior Lodge, K. & A. M., of which he was a member. He also was a member of the California Ministry of the Scottish Rite and Islam. Temple of the Shrine. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet.
