Birth record for Johan Georg Mattmueller, and listed as George Motmiller in his mother’s 1859 Will.
Upon their arrival in Philadelphia, his parents signed for him to be indentured -
John George Mattmuller Jr to William McClellan for 9 years, with 6 weeks of schooling each year, and two suits of clothes (one new) plus $20 upon completion, for a consideration of $20.50
He is then listed with his parents in the 1830 Fayette Co PA census, following his indenture, as a male 20-30.
He was apparently living, but not involved with his family in 1859 when his mother died, as she only left him $5 as a separate item in her will.
