Mrs. Winnie M. Meckley, wife of E. D. Meckley, and daughter of J. A. and Nancy Miller, died at her home on College street, June 9, 1897, aged 28 years, 6 months and 18 days. She was born north of Johnsville in Morrow county, November 28, 1868. Afterwards the family moved to their farm three quarters of a mile north of Steam Corners, and about 10 yrs ago moved to Butler where she has since resided.
She was united in marriage to E. D. Meckley September 26, 1888. She was converted at the Haldeman church on Woodbury circuit and joined the Evangelical association to which organization she remained a faithful member until death. She leaves a husband, two sons, Orra and Budd, and daughter Marie, and parents to mourn her early departure. Funeral services were held in the Evangelical church on Saturday, at 10 am, conducted by the Re. J. S. Fitterer. Interment in the Shaucks cemetery.
