In 1910 he was a meat cutter in a packing house. married and living on Division St in Indianapolis with his wife, Ethel (25, IN) and son Robert (5, IN).
He was divorced before he registered for the WWI Draft in 1918, since he was living with his parents again at the time.
He remarried Elizabeth “Minnie” Groeschel (1895, IN), with whom he is listed as a salesman in 1920 and cook in a restaurant in 1930; while she is listed as a waitress. Her mother is also listed with them in 1920 as Elizabeth Groeschel (1861, IN).
He is listed as single on his death certificate.

Services from the Hensley & Phillips Funeral Home, 1068 Udell, Thursday, 2 p m. Masonic services by Centre Lodge No 23 F. and A. M. Burial Anderson, Indiana. Friends may call at the Funeral Home after Wednesday afternoon.
