Her parents moved shortly after birth and were in Newport Beach for the 1930 census. Listing Thelma as the youngest daughter (1 yr 9 mo, OK) of Alvin H. Orcutt (39, OK) and Lillian Orcutt (27, SC).
By 1940, the family moved to Fresno County and had 4 more kids.
She was then married to a Mr. Ward in the mid 40’s and listed as Thelma Orcutt Ward on her Nov 1944 Social Security application; before marrying Archie K. Wright shortly before the 1950 cenus.
Living in Muskogee in 1950, where Archie is a Hotel Owner (45, OK) with wife Thelma L. (25, OK) and her brother Forest J. Orcutt (16, OK).
She and Archie were apparently divorced after having 3 children in the 1950’s, as she is registered with Social Security as Thelma Louise Brown in July 1972, four years before Archie’s death.
Archie died in Guadalajara in 1976, but even though Thelma was remarried to a Mr. Brown, she is listed as Thelma Wright on his death record in Mexico, and her obituary and burial are under the Wright name.
Her obituary is in the Oklahoma City paper, with other records listing her death in Park Hill and Coweta.
