The son of Adolphus DeLorraine Orcutt & Adaline W. Hodge. Born and raised in the Creek Nation, Indian Territory (now Oklahoma). The area would later become Tulsa County and Wagoner County in Northeastern Oklahoma.
Listed with his mother and siblings in the 1890-1896 Creek Indian census rolls.
He is listed in the 1900 census as 1/2 Indian (Feb 1890, Creek Nation, Indian Terr.), where his father was born in Kentucky and his mother in the Creek Nation, Indian Territory.
He first married Flora Rhodes (1892-1966) on 7 Jan 1911 in Tulsa, OK.
It must have been a short marriage, as he is listed as single and living in Tulsa on his WWI draft registration, and married Lillian Olson in 1918 in New Jersey, then served in the military during WWI in 1919.
In 1930 he is in Newport Beach, CA with his wife and 5 daughters as an Oil Worker (39, OK).
And by 1940 they moved to Fresno county, where he is listed working on his own with 4 daughters and 3 sons.
Strangely, he registered for the WWII draft while living in Tulsa, working for a winch company in 1042. This is when his daughter Lillian was married there to Agely Watkins on 9 Oct 1942. There, it lists his birth as 1891.
Alvin is listed in the VA Hospital, neurophychiatric ward in 1950 in Menlo Park, CA, and was apparently there until his death in 1964.

Lillian is listed in 1910 in Hoboken, NJ at age 7 with her parents, Jacob and Josephine Olson from Finland, as 3rd of their 4 daughters.
She married Alvin H. Orcutt there in 1918, and has not been found in the 1920 census, but she and Alvin are listed in the 1926 Tulsa city directory.
They next showed up in California in the 1930 census for Newport Beach.
