Stephen Sr was brother of Tunis Lane and Mary Ann Lane Lewis. He was married to Maria Reynolds.
They had 5 known children. William, John (died young 3 y/0), Stephen Jr husband of Sarah R Van Cleaf, Tunis husband of Mary Hagerman, and Sarah M.
His son Stephen Jr’s children were Howard B Lane husband of Sarah Estelle, Carrie Perrine Lane, and Sarah M Lane wife of John Turner Nicholas.

Stephen is listed as Stephen Lain in 1830 with:
Males 1<5, 1=15-19 Females 1<5, 1=15-19, 1=20-29, 1=50-59 which appears to be in error, as he would have been about age 24. But he would not have been listed as head of household with the older women in the house if he was not married and of age. It also appears that his mother is living with them.
Listed in 1840 with:
Males 2<5, 2=5-9, 1=10-14, 1=30-39 and Females 1=10-14, 1=20-29, 1=30-39
He is listed in 1880 as a widower, with grandson Charles Lane (21) and granddaughter Annie L. Perriine (20).
