Death of Former Highlands Man.
Tunis Lane of Freehold, formerly of Highlands, died at Princeton Sunday from a complication of diseases. He was 77 years old and was an uncle of Tunis H. Lane of Highlands. The funeral was held this afternoon at Freehold and the burial was at Fairfield.

Tunis Lane, a highly respected citizen, formerly of Freehold, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ella Wilbur, at Princeton, on Saturday of paralysis, aged 79 years. The funeral service will take place at the home of his son, Augustus Lane, on Lincoln Street, Freehold, on Wednesday at 2 o'clock. Interment in charge of Funeral Director Clayton will be made in Ardena Cemetery. He was also the father of Charles Lane of Third Avenue, Asbury Park; William Lane, and Mrs. Harry Howland.
