She celebrated her 95th birthday in 2008, and was in several board & care homes.

Wells, Sheryl Alice
Retired after teaching 37 years, born October 15, 1913 in Sherburn, MN to Frances and William Brundage. Sheryl Wells passed away peacefully with family on March 17, 2010. After graduating from Sherburn High School in 1931 she attended Mankato State Teachers College and received her teaching certificate in 1933. She married James Robert Wells of Huntley, MN on June 8, 1943. He preceded her in death on May 20, 1988. Sheryl is survived by her 3 children, Susan Mae Wells of St. Paul, MN, born October 26, 1946, Lynn Frances (Bob) Harrington of Aurora, OR, born on June 20, 1949 and Ozzie (Linda) Wells of Fridley, MN, born October 18, 1952. In 1933 she began a teaching career that spanned 37 years with 6 years off to have her children. She taught in many schools throughout southern MN and finished her career in the Onamia School District. During summer vacation, she taught children of migrant workers in Hollendale, MN. She also taught adult education at the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwa School. Her life will be celebrated at a memorial service Sunday, March 21 at Fridley United Methodist Church, visitation begins at 1 PM and the service will commence at 2 PM followed by a light dinner and reception. Memorials are preferred to the Fridley United Methodist Church.

He was with his father in Winnebago, MN in 1936 when his mother died. He was listed with his widowed father and sister in 1940, graduated high school and working as a laborer (28, IA) in Center Creek, MN.
He was living in Rochester in the 1950’s and Austin, MN in 1966. His children are Ozzie, Lynn, and Susan Wells.

James R. Wells - James Robert Wells, 76, a resident of Glen Rt, Aitkin, passed away Friday, May 20, 1988, at his home.
He was born April 8, 1912 in West Liberty, Iowa to the late Ledger and Mae Wells. At the age of four, James moved to Madelia with his parents on the family farm and later resided in Huntley, where he graduated from high school. Later he worked in So. St. Paul with the Livestock Business.
After his marriage to Sheryl Brundage on June 9, 1943 in Winnebago, he entered the U.S. Army Air Corps. and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. After service he moved to the Rochester and Austin communities and managed a grain elevator for a number of years. He moved to Malmo in 1967 and managed the Land O'Lakes Feed Store in Isle, Onamia and McGrath. He was a member of the Glen Community Church. He served as past commander of the American Legion of Eyota and the President of the Rochester Eagles Club. He enjoyed hobby farming, basketball, baseball and fishing.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 23, 1988, at 2 p.m. at the Brenny Funeral Home, Sorensen-Root Chapel, Aitkin with Rev. Rolland Ritter officiating, Mrs. Edie Orazem was organist and soloist, Joy Jacobson sang "In The Garden" and "How Great Thou Art." The congregation sang "Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee." Pallbearers were Scott Stern, Gary Gunderson, Bob Harrington, Mark and Clarence Kirschenman and Seth West. Burial was in the Malmo Cemetery. Military rites were accorded by the American Legion Post of Aitkin.
He is survived by his wife, Sheryl of Glen Rt., Aitkin; one son, Ozzie Wells of Fridley; two daughters, Mrs. Scott (Susan) Stern of Roseville and Mrs. Robert (Lynn) Harrington of Canby, Oregon; and 6 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Grace Orr.

His headstone lists him as a Staff Sgt in WWII.
