A missing Sun Lakes man was found dead May 6 after suffering injuries in a bicycle crash, according to Maricopa County sheriff's officials.
Detectives were investigating the death of 67-year-old James Robert "Ozzie" Wells and said there were no suspicious circumstances or signs of foul play, according to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
"Unfortunately, it appears he was injured in a bicycle crash and succumbed to his injuries,” MCSO posted on Facebook.
Wells was reported missing about 7 a.m. May 5. His wife told authorities Wells had been missing since 8 p.m. May 4 and usually frequented San Tan Mountain trails on a bicycle at night for the lower temperatures, according to the MCSO Facebook post.
