Marshall; loving father of Mrs. Catherine Fontes of Corte Madera and Mrs. Dolores Seslar of Palo Alto; also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; loving brother of Mrs. Mary Buker of Oakland, George of San Jose, Edward Marshall of Albany, Jack Marshall of Benicia, Joseph Marshall of Napa and the late Ernest Marshall. A native of Sausalito; aged 74 years. A veteran of World War I. A member of Clerks and Lumber Handlers Union Local 939. Friends are Invited to attend services from the new mortuary of C. P. Bannon, 6800 East 14th Street, Oakland, on Monday, April 15 at 11:30 a.m. Private interment Tuesday afternoon. Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno.

Listed in the 1900 San Francisco census as Annie Lawlor (Nov 1884, CA) a boarder with her sister Lizzie (Dec 1882, CA) and going to school. They lived with the Lintrup family.
She appears to be listed in the 1910 census as Annie M. Miller (24, CA) the wife of John S. Miller (31, IA) a carpenter, and living in San Francisco, married 3 yrs. Their marriage of the previous day was reported in the 25 Nov 1906 issue of the Oakland Tribune, which listed them as living in Fruitvale.
[Her (married) name was Anna M. Miller when she married Manuel Marshall in 1919 at age 32, as the 1930 census shows she was first married at age 19 (1906). So her first marriage was to Mr. Miller, her parents were born in Ireland and New York, and her mother’s maiden name was Cummings.
