[Obituary] Red Bank Register - Thurs, 26 Sept 1946
Harry Whitney Conrow, former mayor and postmaster of Oceanport, died Saturday at the home of his son, A. Chester Conrow, 11 Garden road, Red Bank, after a long illness. He was 73.
Mr. Conrow was one of the organizers of Oceanport after its separation from Eatontown township in 1920. He was postmaster from 1912 to 1934 and mayor in 1934-36. He was also president of the Oceanport board of education, and before the borough was organized, had served as Eatontown township district clerk and committeeman.
Besides his son, with whom he resided, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Loretta Rose Conrow, and a brother, Arthur Conrow, of Paradise, Cal.
The funeral, under the direction of the Flock funeral home, Long Branch, was held at the home with Rev. Carrol Varner, pastor of Oceanport Methodist church, officiating. Burial was in Woodbine cemetery, Oceanport.
