He was a Turner by trade, which probably implied a cabinet maker, all grades of local wood working, as well as that of a wheelwright. When he married, they settled on a 60 Acre tract conveyed to him by his father in 1724. This was part of a 520 Ac tract taken by his father in 1701. He died only a few months after his father, in April of 1727.
