Misc. Notes
Birth and death dates are from her tombstone.
She is listed next to her son's family in 1850. I have guessed her maiden name based on (her mother) Margaret Alexander living with them in 1850 at age 90, born in Md.
She signed her will on March 5th 1858, a few months before her death. Her estate was inventoried and her debts paid, leaving a distribution amount of about $325.

From the census records, it appears that her parents lived with them starting in 1820 and that the father died 1830-1840, the mother 1840-1850.
When Jesse Brannon (Tabitha’s brother-in-law) died or thereabouts he appointed Nathaniel Wilcox as guardian to his two youngest daughters.
The Somerton Methodist Old Northern cemetery is located about 100 yards from the intersection of County Rd 102 and U.S. 800 behind some property and is in poor repair and not very visible from the road; as reported by James Wilcox when he visited it in 2001.
