Timothy moved to Solebury in 1738 and joined the Buckingham Friends Meeting. Here he married Rebecca Paxson, sister to his brother Mathew’s wife. He moved his family to Tinicum Township in 1755, and 28 years later moved to Fairfax, VA in 1783. There is an assignment of lease in Loudoun Co, VA for 166 acres, dated 1784, from James Moore to “Timothy Beans, late of Pennsylvania”.
He and Rebecca had at least 7 children, as named in his Will, though there were probably more, some of whom remained in Bucks Co, PA.
His Will was dated 16 Sept 1797 and he mentions all his children, giving his Plantation to his son Amos and his wife, five shillings to each of the others. It is signed with his mark, proved by the County Clerk 14 Dec 1805. His name is signed over his mark as Timothy Beens. According to the terms of the Will, his wife was to receive half the plantation as long as she lived and then her share was to go to Amos also.
