His marriage record to his cousin Selina in 1874 lists his mother’s name as Isabella, which was true at the time, although she was his step-mother. It listed him as being 28 and a railway empolyee living in Osnabruck, where he was born.
Cornelius is listed in 1881 as a farmer at age 37 with his wife Selina (30) with no children. Listed two families away is (Julia) Wilmina Watson - his second wife.
He is listed in 1891 as a farmer (46, Ont) with his wife Salena (40, Ont), where it says his father is born in NY and mother in Ireland. He is listed next to his wife's sister, Melissa (Wells) Summers and her family.
He is listed in 1901 census with his wife Julia, and his birth date as 27 Jan 1845, but based on the 1881 census I have entered his birth as 1844.
After he died of heart failure in 1906, his widow married his brother, John.
