Daughter of John Nelson and Anna Pullpur. It is unclear why she used both surnames at times after arriving in the US.
Her birth is listed as 1886 on her marriage record, 1883 on her death record & headstone, and 1885 on her headstone application, Naturalization appliation and the 1920 census - which has been used.
Immigrated as Kristina Nelson on the SS Ascania which sailed from Southampton, England on 8 Oct 1911 and arrived in Quebec on October 12th. She was traveling alone, listed as a waitress, age 26 and able to read and write. It says that her destination was Chicago, and that her mother Anna Nelson was in _______ Sweden, and seems to indicate that her last permanent residence was in Chicago (she may have left and returned?).
She served in the Army Nurse Corps from Illinois at Camp Shelby during WWI from 11 Nov 1918 until 14 Jun 1919.
Listed under the name Pullper in 1920 as a lodger with the Hanson family in Chicago, working as a nurse (34, SWE) for another family. It says she immigrated in 1902.
Her Indiana marriage record to Albert Wells lists her as Christine Jeremina Pullpur, with the names of her parents and her birth date as 1886. She had previously applied for Naturalization while living in Chicago, saying that she arrived on 5 Feb 1911 as Christine Jeremina Nelsson. This was denied on 23 Jun 1922, with the comment “because of mat(erial) of prosecution”.
Listed as Jermina Millicent Wells on daughter Doris’ birth certificate in 1925.
She is listed as Jereminah and married to Albert in the 1930 Indianapolis census, having immigrated in 1911 and been naturalized.
She is then listed in the Indianapolis city directories in 1931 as Mina N. Wells and in 1934 as Christina Wells.
She is listed as Jemina Millcent Wells on her daughter Doris’ birth record.
In 1940 she is listed as Mina (52, SWE) with husband Albert and their daughters Aneta and Doris, as well as his widowed mother.
Death record in Michigan shows her listed as Jeremina N. Wells, born 26 Jun 1883 and married to Albert C. Wells.
Her daughter Aneta V. Jenkins submitted a request for her Military headstone in Prospect Hill Cem on 31 April 1952, which listed her birth as 26 Jun 1885.

Former City Nurse Dies in Michigan
Mrs. Jeremina N. Wells, 68, registered nurse and former Indianapolis resident, died yesterday at Cassopolis, Mich. Born in Sweden, Mrs. Wells came to the United States in 1909. She came to Indianapolis in 1924, and lived here until a year ago. A graduate of South Shore Hospital, Chicago, Mrs. Wells worked in the Medical Center here. During World War I, she served as a nurse overseas. She was a member of the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church here. Services will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow in the Connley Funeral Home, Cassopolis, Mich. Survivors are the husband, Albert C. Wells, a patient In Veterans Administration Hospital here; two daughters. Miss Doris Jane Wells and Mrs. Juanita Jenkins, and three grandchildren.

Was still living in Lafayette when he registered for the draft in 1917. But that has his birth as 11 Jan 1895 as does his marriage license, even though he was age 3 in 1900 and 13 in 1910. It stated that he was a fireman, and currently unemployed. His WWII draft registration lists his birth in 1898.
After marrying in 1922, he is listed as a railroad coach inspector (32, IN) in Indianapolis in 1930; with his wife Jereminah (42, SWE) and daughters Vivian (7, IN) and Doris (5, IN).
In 1940 he is listed with his widowed mother (after her second marriage) Ida Cravens (52, IN), still working as a car inspector for the steam railroad (42, IN). The rest of the family consists of his wife Mina (52, SWE) and daughters Aneta (17, IN) and Doris (14, IN).
He is then listed in the 1942 Indianapolis city directory and for his WWII draft registration with Mina.
Albert is referenced in her 1952 obituary as being a patient In the Indianapolis Veterans Administration Hospital.
