Youngest child of Wm. Consider before he left for California.
"Wesley was a farmer and he met Ruby in Gosfield Township, Essex County, where she was helping her father with the harvest. Wesley worked for R. S. McGlaughlin Carriage Works about 1895 and was foreman of the Whitby Buckle Factory about 1902. He is listed in the 1901 census as William J. Ruttan.
He spent seveteen years going back and forth to Los Angeles in search of his father, William Consider Ruttan and he located him at a race track on February 28, 1909, and made an appointment to meet him the next day. He learned that his father was supposed to have died in his sleep that night and later it was described as murder by poison. The puzzle of the death of William Consider has not yet been solved and his descendents are still greatly interested. Wesley died in Toronto after returning from the United States." (H. N.
