Listed in the 1861 Canada census as Maria Casselman (33, US) and Lutheran, with the Casselman family, just a few lines above Henry and Harriet Wells. Their children were Nelson (6) and Eve (3)
Then in 1871, she is listed as (43, US) and Church of England, with Warner (59, CAN) and children Nelson (15), Catherine (12), Frank (9), Eve (6), and Alice (3)
Next in 1881, they are listed as Warner (69, CAN) and Maria (53, US) with Katie (22), Frank (19), and Effie (16) - plus his sister Eve (78, CAN). Above them on the same page is John H. and Charlotte Wells.

Original burial for Maria Wells and her husband Warner Henry Casselman was the Casselman Farm, Concession 1, Williamsburg Township. The headstones were relocated before the flooding for the St. Lawrence River seaway and power projects.
