Joseph was the 2nd son, and married his 3rd cousin.
Joseph and Mary were located on a farm (in 1902 owned by Mr. Taylor Mount) near Englishtown. In the spring of 1802 they emigrated to the township of Root, Montgomery Co, NY. Probably bought state land, or a section from one _________ Rickard, adjoining the Bleeker grant of 640 acres. This was later, in 1820 or 1825, the homestead of Harmanus and Ann Bleeker Truax Lansing. Located about two miles south of the Mohawk River and back of the mountain known as the “Nose”. Their home built prior to 1800 is still standing, owned in 1902 by Enoch C. and John Noah Perrine. Joseph and Mary were third cousins. They were both interred at a private cemetery on the Moyer-Everson Farm, near the Perrine Homestead at Root, NY.

Mary was the daughter of Capt. Peter Perrine (son of Peter born 1706 son of Peter) son of Daniel and Marie, lived at Cranbury, NJ. So she married Joseph, her 3rd cousin.
